Sarah Jessica Parker says it didn't take her long to accept the role in Lovelace, which she took when Demi Moore dropped out.

She plays feminist Gloria Steinem in the film, which is based on the life of 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace.

She said: "I read the script and didn't have enough time to think about it properly. [If I had,] I probably would have said no, because it was a daunting experience for lots of obvious and less obvious reasons."

She agreed to take the role after Demi Moore had a seizure and went to the hospital. A source said: "She knows she's in a bad place and needs help. Rehab is the only thing she can do right now. She needed something serious to get her back on track."
